Notes: The J-200 was introduced back in 1938 and is being
produced ever since. From country superstars to rock legends
this model has always been the “artist's choise“
Materials: Sitka Spruce top, 17“ Super Jumbo body
design, round soundhole with abalone bound rosette, extraordinary
figured quilted Maple on back -with center stripe- and sides,
highly flamed Maple neck, 14/20 frets, bound Ebony fingerboard
with abalone crown inlays, Ebony mustache bridge with abalone
block inlays and white abalone dot string pins, bound blackface
peghead with abalone crown/logo inlay.
Hardware: 3 per side Imperial Grover tuner, Custom
engraved truss rod cover, factory installed active pickup
system with miniature volume knob in soundhole and strap button jack.
Facts: Made 2007 in the Gibson Custom Shop. Easily
the most quilted tonewoods we have ever encountered. A real
fancy-work guitar.
Condition: The guitar is in as new condition with no
play wear, the entire binding is tight to the body.
Playability: Action neck relief is unchanged factory
standard without buzz and the neck profile is a comfortable C.
Tone: The Super Jumbo body produces rich, full sound
with deep bass and crystal-clear highs. It is ideal for creating
a gigantic choral background to be accompanied with vocals.
Case: Original Gibson hardshell case is included
Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge
bronze strings (.012-.054). The guitar will accommodate lighter
or heavier gauge strings, according to your preference. The
entire guitar is inspected, fingerboard and bridge oiled,
body and neck cleaned and hand polished.
To Summarize: Playing this beauty feels like being
in guitar heaven, well at least being on cloud nine. We are
