	Notes: The first Henneken archtops appeared as if it were from nowhere at the Osnabrück Open Strings Festival in 1998. The luthier Markku Henneken has had quite a life making superb archtops in Finland where he began. After spending some time in Germany he is now back in Finland producing those great Archtop guitars again. Materials: 16" wide 3" deep, carved X-braced European Spruce top with white-bound f-holes, highly figured carved solid Maple back and sides in amberish sunburst finish, rounded cutaway, 5-piece flamed Maple neck, 25" scale, 1 11/16" width, headstock with fleur de lis inlay and Henneken name with mother of pearl inlay, Ebony truss rod cover, Ebony nut, Ebony heel cap, adjustable Ebony bridge. De Luxe stands for multi-layered bound throughout and mother of pearl inlayed fingerboard & fittings like the stylish Ebony pickguard with fleur de lis inlay, Ebony tailpiece with fleur de lis inlay and the multiple-bound 21-fret Ebony fingerboard with pearl fleur de lis inlays. Hardware: Gotoh 510 tuners with Ebony knobs, Kent Armstrong floating pickup with volume knob on pickguard, input jack at rim side. Facts: The guitar was made in 2009 and has very little signs of wear. The superb tonewoods used deserve the name royale and the flames are eye-catching and hypnotizing. Condition: The frets are as new and in general the guitar is in near mint condition with superficial marks here and there. Playability: The first time you take it out of its case, one is immediately captured by its sheer beauty and perfect shape. The feather light weight and comfortable size make it so easily a joy to play. Tone: Astonishing loud for its 16" size, the acoustic tone is very clear, transparent and very balanced, plugged in it has a very jazzy sound. Case: Comes with Hiscox flight case that fits perfectly to the guitar. Setup: The guitar is currently strung with round wound strings (.012 - .054). The guitar has been thoroughly checked and cleaned. To Summarize: With its outstanding highest quality woods and elegant looks the Henneken Royale De Luxe deserves the name Royale literally. This royal touch is emphasized with the fleur de lis inlays. She is a fancy great sounding archtop but not overloaded in ornamentation.
