Notes: As the first ES model ever (ES = Electric Spanish), the ES-150 appeared
in Gibson's "X" catalog in 1936. It featured a "bar" pickup designed by Walter Fuller and the great pioneer of the electric
guitar Charlie Christian is still associated with this type of pickup. Many different ES models have been produced since then
f.e. ES-135, ES-175, ES-225, ES-330, ES-335 and so on. By the end of 2004 the Gibson Custom Shop in Memphis took over
the responsibility for the ES models to enhance the quality.
